Jon Jones' B sample from UFC 214 tests positive for steroids, report says

Jon Jones' B sample from UFC 214 came back positive for Turinabol, an anabolic steroid, which further puts his UFC light heavyweight championship at risk.

According to ESPN.com, the B sample that was taken from Jones the night prior to his win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 has come back positive, backing up the previous positive test in his first sample.

Jones did pass a blood test the day after the fight, but that won't help the two-time UFC light heavyweight champion as Turinabol does not show up on blood tests.

The UFC has not announced a punishment for Jones as they await all the details of the positive test. The result of Jones' win is likely to be changed to a no-contest, according to ESPN.

This is Jones' second positive drug test in the UFC. He was suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for a year after testing positive prior to a rematch with Cormier in 2016. He blamed the first test on a tainted sexual enhancement pill and received his punishment for negligence.

Jones passed two urine test in early July leading up to his fight with Cormier July 29. If Jones is suspended again by USADA he will likely receive a four-year suspension from the organization which is standard for a second offense.
