Holby City will reveal Ric Griffin's fate tonight (August 11) as Guy Self's return stint reaches an explosive conclusion.
Ric (Hugh Quarshie) has found himself in danger with his nemesis Guy, after undergoing life-threatening brain surgery once again.
Having found Ric unconscious in theatre, an increasingly erratic Guy will capitalise on this unexpected opportunity in tonight's tense scenes.

However, as Guy puts his plan into action, he faces scrutiny from a confused Louis, who questions him about what's going on.
Stressed, Guy sends Louis away – accusing him of being a distraction by talking too much. A horrified Louis is then replaced by Donna, but it's not long before she grows concerned about Guy's intentions as well.
Although Guy does his best to distract Donna, his efforts are futile and she soon becomes concerned that there's something iffy going on as well.
The final straw for Donna comes when she suspects that Guy has been drinking and realises she can no longer stand back and do nothing.
When Ric goes into cardiac arrest, it's down to Guy to save him – but will he kill him or cure him? And will Donna be able to get help before it's too late?
All be revealed in tonight's scenes, which is the last visit to the wards for a while.
That's because Holby City is taking another extended break from our screens after running out of the stockpile of episodes filmed before the UK lockdown back in March. It'll be back later in the year.
Holby City's final episode for a while will air tonight (August 11) at 8pm on BBC One.
