When you’re making a cup of tea, you usually have to choose between bagged or loose leaf. The latter is arguably more sustainable since you’re not wasting a bag every time you have a cuppa but instead using a diffuser. But loose leaf tea can get a little messy.

Enter: Tea Drops.

Tea Drops are organic, ground-leaf teas pressed into fun shapes. Simply drop one into a cup of hot water and watch it dissolve like a bath bomb.

According to a note from founder and CEO Sashee Chandran on the Tea Drops website, she started the company in 2015 because she wanted a more environmentally friendly, convenient and high-quality tea. But it just wasn’t out there — yet. Now, Tea Drops are perfect for first-time sippers and serious tea drinkers alike.

Tea Drops produce 15% less waste than traditional tea bags while supporting fair trade and organic harvesting. Additionally, all teas are kosher-certified. Plus, with every box sold, Tea Drops donates a year’s supply of clean water through the Thirst Project. So there’s a lot of good coming out of this company, in addition to its teas.

Tea Drops sells so many types of teas, and you can sort them on its website by level of caffeine, sweetness, time of day, mood and even benefits to your body (i.e., stress relief, gut health, detox, immune support, etc.). It sells bubble tea and tea latte kits, too.

If you’re not sure where to start, you can check out some of its best sellers below to see what other customers are sipping, along with a few samplers to start with. If you find more than a few you’d like to try, you can also customize your own box of assorted teas.
