H.S. TRACK AND FIELD: Lady Panthers inch closer to division title

Apr. 30—Aneilia McLeod (100, 200) and Hailey Schreffler (800, 1,600) were double event winners Wednesday as the Panther Valley girls remained unbeaten at 6-0 with a 79-62 Schuylkill League Division II track and field victory over Minersville.

The Lady Panthers close out their league season Monday on the road against Mahanoy Area.

Devin Hubler continued with her strong season for Minersville, sweeping all three jumping events.

Weatherly junior Ricky Ray ran to firsts in the 400 and 800, claimed the long jump, and also was on the winning 3200 relay to lead the Wreckers to their second victory, beating the Hurricanes in a Division II meet.

Scotty Zoscin won the 3200 and was on the winning 1600 and 3200 relays for Weatherly (2-3). Teammate Jacob Solonoski had a hand in two firsts (discus, 1600 relay) and two seconds (shot put, javelin).

For Schuylkill Haven, Gannon Walcott (100, 110H, 300H) was a triple winner and Mason Reber (shot, javelin) won two events.
