May 2—STONINGTON — Tommy Brunelli had four goals and Logan Jenkins scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime, as Norwich Free Academy edged Stonington 11-10 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference interdivisional boys' lacrosse game on Saturday.

Quinn Perkins had three assists, Anthony Ballestrini two goals and an assist and Sam Thompson scored twice for NFA (3-3). Also, Sam Sweeney had 19 saves and Nolan Brown scored

The Bears are 3-5.

Girls' lacrosse

— Emily Gates had five goals and Madison Gates scored three times as Waterford beat Woodstock Academy, 12-2, for its first win of the season in an ECC Division I game. Carly Holdridge had two goals, Marin Mahoney and Ella Bousquet scored and Ilyanna Rivera had nine saves for Waterford (1-4, 1-3).

— Lindsey Beavan and Lily Tomczik scored four goals apiece as Montville defeated New London 18-5 in an ECC Division II game. Maddie Gould added three goals for the Indians (4-2, 3-1) while Reagan Buscetto and Grace Sanford added two goals apiece and Madi Price, Elie Bowman and Belle Leifheit had one goal each. New London is 2-5, 2-5.

— Maddie McLeod scored seven times for Ledyard in its 17-7 win over New London in Friday's ECC Division II game. Kate and Jess English and Madi Leyko each had three goals for the Colonels (4-2, 4-1) and Helena Robinson scored. Aislinn Strecker had four goals, Emilia Skrabacz scored three times and Chery-Ann Lubin had 20 saves for the Whalers (2-4, 2-4).

Boys' tennis

— Julian Mileski, Matt Bourguinon, Damion Depaul and Reese Yaras all won at singles for Ledyard in its 7-0 sweep over Waterford in an ECC Division I match. The Colonels (3-4, 3-3) also received doubles wins from Ronan Allison-Ben Fieldsend, Sebastian Fieldsend-Noah Freeman and Justin Grenger-Clark Ysewyn.
