The photoshoot is giving major 'birthday-suit vibes.'

Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated a milestone birthday on Sept. 27.

In honor of her 50th birthday, the actress, in collaboration with her company Goop, painted herself gold (literally) for a celebratory photoshoot.

The photos, simple, elegant and captured by photographer Andrew Yee, depict Paltrow with half of her nude body painted fully gold, from her hair to her toes, with the paint softly blending into her natural skin tone.

Writer Jean Godfrey-June, in a piece for Goop called "The Last Nude Photo Shoot?," described the shoot as "Goldfinger-meets-2022...with birthday-suit vibes but about as elevated as it gets."

Paltrow told Godfrey-June on set, "All I know is that they’re painting me gold and that I have to be naked."

Revealing her thoughts on turning 50, she said, "I feel so good turning 50, and this is about expressing that sense of energy and optimism that I’m experiencing. It’s more about the female gaze and just a sense of fun."

The process to turn Paltrow into a "golden goddess," as makeup artist Lottie described her, was surprisingly elaborate. They started by moisturizing Paltrow's face and body, using GOOPGENES products, of course.

After, they slowly built up the gold paint coverage. Last was her hair, which they put up and then covered with loose gold powder, in an effort to make it look as much like paint as possible.

Reflecting on the photoshoot experience, Paltrow shared her positive thoughts on aging, telling Godfrey-June, "I think aging is actually a beautiful thing. We just need to open our perceptions. As you become more yourself, in integrity, your life really opens up."

Paltrow also shared a photo from the shoot on her Instagram with the caption, "⭐️50⭐️."

Many people commented birthday wishes and other messages of support, like Reese Witherspoon, who wrote, "Oh YES to this !! 💫☀️✨," while Naomi Watts said, "Yes mama ⚡️⚡️⚡️happy birthday QUEEN🙌🙌🙌."
