    Nigel Farage says he won't stand in UK general election

    Britain's Nigel Farage, a leading Brexit campaigner and the honorary president of the right wing Reform Party, said on Thursday that he would not stand in the July general election. "I will do my bit to help in the campaign (for Reform), but it is not the right time for me to go any further than that," Farage said in a statement on X. "The choice between Labour and the Conservatives is uninspiring, and only Reform have the radical agenda that is needed to end decline in this country."

    A video of missiles being transported to Moscow ahead of an annual military parade has been falsely shared in posts that claimed it showed nuclear weapons moved on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin after he warned the West against sending troops to aid Ukraine. The footage was in fact filmed before Putin issued the warning about the "real" risk of nuclear war in February 2024.
