There's a Grey's Anatomy alum in the mix!
The new Showtime miniseries The Comey Rule is taking on the Trump White House. Based on former FBI director James Comey's 2018 memoir, A Higher Loyalty, the two-part series serves as a dramatic account of events before and after the 2016 election—and, of course, Comey's role in them. Specifically, of course, The Comey Rule deals with Comey's controversial decision to announce, just days before the 2016 election, that the FBI was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server (a move many have said gave Donald Trump a push to victory in the presidential race). The miniseries also delves into the former FBI director's handling of the investigation into Russian involvement in the same election and his subsequent firing by Trump.
Reviews for the miniseries are mixed, but there's no debating the talent of The Comey Rule's cast. Bringing the recent political ~drama~ to life is an all-star crew that includes Jeff Daniels as Comey, Academy Award winner Holly Hunter as former acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates, Primetime Emmy Award winner and Brendan Gleeso as Donald Trump, and BAFTA winner Jennifer Ehle as Patrice Comey. Here's a handy guide to the cast of The Comey Rule and their real-life counterparts.
