    3 Indian nationals charged with killing Canadian Sikh separatist leader make first court appearance

    Two of the three men charged in the slaying of a Canadian Sikh separatist leader Singh Nijjar last June made a brief court appearances on Tuesday morning. Canadian police said Friday they arrested the three Indian nationals in Edmonton, Alberta for shooting and killing the 45-year-old in his pickup truck after he left the Sikh temple over which he presided in the city of Surrey.

    UPDATE 1-US revoked some export licenses for China's Huawei

    The U.S. Commerce Department said on Tuesday it has revoked some licenses that allow companies to ship goods, such as chips, to China's mobile phone and laptop maker Huawei. The decision comes after the release last month of Huawei's first AI-enabled laptop, the MateBook X Pro powered by Intel's new Core Ultra 9 processor. That announcement drew fire from Republican lawmakers, who said it suggests the Commerce Department had given the green light to Intel to sell the chip to Huawei.
