Joris Daudet Biography

Daudet became the first French rider to win the men’s BMX world championship in 2011. That was the highlight of a remarkable season in which he won all 12 races on the European circuit. However, he was unable to repeat as champion at the 2012 worlds, finishing second to Australia’s Sam Willoughby in May. Though Daudet fell short of a second straight world championship, his finish certainly solidifies himself as a serious contender for gold in London. However, Willoughby is not Daudet’s only competition. Reigning Olympic gold medalist Maris Strombergs and American stars like Mike Day and Donny Robinson are just as hungry.
