Getting closer: Canucks goalie Demko is taking shots now

Vancouver Canucks star Thatcher Demko has taken a big step forward in his injury recovery process. The goalie has resumed facing live shots according to head coach Rick Tocchet. “The progress is getting better and better,” said Tocchet this morning in Edmonton about his usual starter. If he needs another week of rest, the only second-round series game Demko would be able to play would be a potential Game 7 next Monday.
