Maple Leafs give Devils permission to speak to Sheldon Keefe about head coaching job

While the Maple Leafs were still praising Sheldon Keefe's diplomatic exit on Friday, the New Jersey Devils could be opening talks with the fired Toronto coach about their vacancy. TSN's Pierre LeBrun reported Friday afternoon that Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald had received permission from Leaf counterpart Brad Treliving to interview Keefe.
