Stu Cowan: New play focuses on Ken Dryden and the 1970s Canadiens

Oren Safdie has never met Ken Dryden in person, but the former Canadien played a huge role in the playwright's childhood growing up in Montreal. Now, Safdie is paying tribute to the Hall of Fame goalie with his new play, Beyond Ken Dryden, which will be part of the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival. The one-person play will be performed on June 6, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 16 at Venue 9 (Studio Multimédia) at 4750 Henri Julien Ave. Tickets cost $19.
