It sure sounds like Tyler Myers will return to the Vancouver Canucks next season, at a significant discount. Similar to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman earlier in the week, Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK seems very confident that Myers will return to Vancouver. In an interview with Mike Halford and Jason Brough on Sportsnet 650 this morning, Dhaliwal noted that a deal isn't “imminent,” but said he believes Myers will re-sign.
It is no secret that Steve Staios and the Ottawa Senators have some work to do in the 2024 off-season. Whether you want to look at adding forward depth, finally locking in a full-time second-line left winger, or acquiring a starting goaltender, well, the Senators need a bit of everything. The defence is one of the biggest priorities, and one way to improve that would be by signing Tyler Myers. The only certain locks to be in the opening night lineup are Jake Sanderson and Artem Zub.
The Vancouver Canucks are hoping to gain a huge 2-0 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers. Game 2 has been a back-and-forth affair to this point. Defenseman Tyler Myers delivered a hit to Edmonton forward Mattias Janmark but was shaken up. Myers missed the remainder of the first period against the Oilers, as well.
