Advice: The NHL announced the penalty Wednesday, a day after Hanzal was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding at 11:01 of the third period in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals series. Hanzal will miss Game 3 on Thursday night in Los Angeles. The Kings lead the series 2-0.

C Martin Hanzal was called for a major boarding penalty Tuesday and a game misconduct for hitting Los Angeles captain Dustin Brown from behind midway thought the third period. The NHL will review the play and Hanzal could be looking at a suspension that could keep him out of Thursday's Game 3 in Los Angeles or longer in this series.
