LW Christopher Higgins and RW Ales Kotalik both made their debut after being acquired from the New York Rangers Monday night in exchange for C Olli Jokinen and LW Brandon Prust. The newcomers played on a line with C Daymond Langkow. Kotalik also was on the point for the first power-play unit and gives the team another bomber from the blue line.

The Rangers-Flames deal that includes Higgins is on hold for now, reports the TSN.ca.
Recommendation: It may still happen but there are reports Ales Kotalik won't waive his no-trade clause and the Flames felt they need Olli Jokinen in the lineup on Monday night. This deal may or may not happen. Stay tuned.
