Sabres' GM Darcy Regier expects Roy to return next season, reports The Buffalo News. Roy is entering the final year of a six-year contract signed in the summer of 2007.
Recommendation: Roy struggled to just 44 points in 80 games and was the subject of trade rumours for much of the 2011-12 season. A return to previous levels isn't out of the question, but ice time down the middle will be harder to come by with the late-season emergence of Tyler Ennis and the club's acquisition of Cody Hodgson.
