Hordichuk tallied his first goal of the season in Thursday's win over the Wild.
Recommendation: The goal was Hordichuk's first in 50 games. As the Canucks enforcer, he's not asked to take many shots, so don't look for this to become a regular occurrence.

LW Darcy Hordichuk not only scored his first goal of the season to open the scoring in Thursday's 5-2 win in Minnesota, he did so on his first shot of the entire season, a ridiculously low statistic even for a fourth-line fighter, and one of the reasons the otherwise popular tough guy had been a healthy scratch three times already, including twice recently when the Canucks dressed a defenseman as a forward. Hordichuk pounced on a turnover by the Wild's fourth line in its own end, and quickly wired a slap shot over the shoulder of Niklas Backstrom for his first goal in 50 games.
