May 11 Ribeiro scored 9:24 into overtime, and the Washington Capitals beat the New York Rangers 2-1 on Friday night to regain the momentum - and a 3-2 lead - in their first-round playoff series.

Advice: It was the first game-winning goal in the playoffs for Ribeiro. He has six goals and 21 assists in 47 career postseason games.

May 10 Ribeiro scored the overtime winner Friday in Washington's Game 5 victory over the Rangers, giving the Capitals a 3-2 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

Recommendation: The goal was Ribeiro's first of the series as he cleaned up a mess in front stemming from a deflected shot to give Washington the win in the always-pivotal Game 5. The Caps would like Ribeiro to play a bit more consistently, but the series has hardly been a showcase for the teams' skill players. Ribeiro had one assist over four games before Friday.
