LW Jon Sim, who blew out his ACL in the second game last season and missed the rest of 2007-08 following knee surgery, made his first NHL appearance in more than a year. Playing on the top line with vets Doug Weight and Bill Guerin, Sim logged 16:48 of ice-time.
