Telesco on Pierce: No Comparison
Las Vegas Raiders general manager Tom Telesco was hired in January to help lead the Raiders back to the top -- something they have not achieved in a long time. At Telesco's disposal was Raiders coach Antonio Pierce. Pierce earned his job as head coach after assuming the interim role last season -- and he didn't look back. Telesco recently appeared on "NFL Total Access" and discussed working with Pierce.

This is a bit of a surprise at this point because the Raiders just drafted Michael Mayer last year, but it’s hard to get too mad at adding a talent like Brock damn Bowers. The Raiders' two-tight end personnel sets are going to be a beast and they’ll be in good position to make life easier for whoever is playing quarterback for them this year.

Expert Commentary
This is probably a good spot for Powers-Johnson, who was announced as a guard instead of a center. Regardless, the Raiders needed bodies on the interior and Powers-Johnson is a credible player to add at guard. Very steady starter.
