Costa Mesa City Council unanimously approves hosting of Raiders 2024 Training Camp
Tuesday evening the Costa Mesa City Council held their meeting to decide whether to move forward with an agreement with the Las Vegas Raiders to hold their 2024 Training Camp at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex. This site hosted the Chargers for their first few years in Los Angeles, so Raiders GM Tom Telesco is quite familiar with the site. As to the agreement, the Raiders agree to invest $600K in improvements to the grounds to bring it to NFL standards.

This is a bit of a surprise at this point because the Raiders just drafted Michael Mayer last year, but it’s hard to get too mad at adding a talent like Brock damn Bowers. The Raiders' two-tight end personnel sets are going to be a beast and they’ll be in good position to make life easier for whoever is playing quarterback for them this year.

Expert Commentary
This is probably a good spot for Powers-Johnson, who was announced as a guard instead of a center. Regardless, the Raiders needed bodies on the interior and Powers-Johnson is a credible player to add at guard. Very steady starter.
