Las Vegas Raiders will have training camp in California
The Last Vegas Raiders will have their annual training camp in Costa Mesa this summer. The City Council Tuesday night approved a one-year deal to let the NFL team use six fields at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex on Fairview Road for a portion of its training camp from July 19 to Aug. 11. Mayor John Stephens said the Raiders bring another level of notoriety to Costa Mesa.

This is a bit of a surprise at this point because the Raiders just drafted Michael Mayer last year, but it’s hard to get too mad at adding a talent like Brock damn Bowers. The Raiders' two-tight end personnel sets are going to be a beast and they’ll be in good position to make life easier for whoever is playing quarterback for them this year.

This is probably a good spot for Powers-Johnson, who was announced as a guard instead of a center. Regardless, the Raiders needed bodies on the interior and Powers-Johnson is a credible player to add at guard. Very steady starter.
