Report: Las Vegas set to host 2027 CFP championship game
Las Vegas will host the January 2027 College Football Playoff national championship game, according to a report Monday by Brett McMurphy of Action Network. No date has been set for the game, which would take place at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders and site of the most recent Super Bowl. It will be the first time hosting the CFP title game for Las Vegas, making it the 11th different city to do so.

This is a bit of a surprise at this point because the Raiders just drafted Michael Mayer last year, but it’s hard to get too mad at adding a talent like Brock damn Bowers. The Raiders' two-tight end personnel sets are going to be a beast and they’ll be in good position to make life easier for whoever is playing quarterback for them this year.

This is probably a good spot for Powers-Johnson, who was announced as a guard instead of a center. Regardless, the Raiders needed bodies on the interior and Powers-Johnson is a credible player to add at guard. Very steady starter.
