  • Indianapolis Colts late-round draft pick impressing at OTAs

There may not be many starting spots up for grabs on the Indianapolis Colts roster but one draft pick is already impressing at the start of OTAs. As the media was permitted to watch Day 2 of OTAs for the first time Wednesday, they got a glimpse of linebacker Jaylon Carlies, one of the team's fifth-round picks from the draft. During the 7-on-7 drills, Carlies used his massive wingspan (80 5/8 inches) to intercept a pass from veteran quarterback Joe Flacco over the middle of the field. Making the switch from safety to linebacker, the Missouri product caught the eye of head coach Shane Steichen.
