I kinda want to see a Giants/Ravens rematch with the Giants getting revenge on the Ravens.
Partiots 21
Ravens 13
niners vs giants/packers
texans
On a Raven high and dreaming of the possibilities.
AFC This Week End
Texans over Bengals ... Bengals will be better next year but their run ends here.
Steelers over Broncos ... Steelers know how to beat lesser teams in the playoffs even though they may be beat up a little.
AFC Next Week End
Ravens over Texans ... Ravens beat Texans 29-14 when their #1 quarterback was healthy.
NE/Pitt ... toss up game with the survivor waiting to face a pumped up Raven team.
AFC Championship
Ravens over NE ... No way they score 49 unanswered points on the Raven D. Best they get is 13 total. 24-13 Ravens
Ravens over Pitt ... For a change this is the Year Of The Bird. A valorous but banged up Steelers team goes down for the third time 31-10.
Super Bowl
Ravens win over whoever and Ray Lewis retires with his second ring to become defensive coach for the Ravens in 2012.
Could happen and a lot more probable than a Detroit/Cincinnati Super Bowl
What killed the Raiders was the loss of their Great running back. Offenses need three elements to make the playoffs, A good quarterback, running back, and a fast good hands reciever, plus the obvious an excellent offenseive line.
Anybody with NFL knowledge know's that the Jets need a new head coach !!!! A mouth never won a championship.
NFC Championship game: Packers 48, NO 45. AFC, NE 24, BAL 17. S.B. Pac 34, NE 31
SB Prediction -
RAVENS - 31
PACK - 30
Rodgers had 270 yards against the chiefs which is a great day for most qbs. just goes to show that if rodgers isnt playing perfect they cant win and San Fran has the most turnovers in the nfl and the best turnover to giveaway ratio. if san fran keeps rodgers under 300 they will win because we all know no one can run against the niners. It would something else if it snows hard that day cuz rodgers sucks in the cold and the pack can try to throw in those conditions, ut i hihgly doubt that theyll be successful
San Fran doesn't have a chance against Green Bay,maybenew Orleans but not San Fran
San Fran can stop any offense. defense does win games no doubt. I'm more worried about the saints than anybody... packers don't have a chance. if the niners beat new orleans (if they play) they will win the super bowl.
my Titans, only team with a winning record to not make the playoffs, why Munchak why did you start Hasselbeck over Locker vs the Colts.
Good thing dirtytbirds won today. They surely don't want anymore of the Saints in the VooDoo dome. Pretty sure we'll see roasted bird up in NYG. Can't wait to see us play in Lambeau.
I'm not a die hard Cincinnati fan, but anyone who saw today's Ravens-Bengals game saw the officials give the game to Baltimore, and Marvin Lewis in his continuous sideline silence let them do it. I've never seen a more obvious example of pass interference not called than committed by the Raven's defender in the end zone on the Bengal's final possession.
I was really thinking that the Jets would beat the Dolphins. Crazy scenario with the tie breakers. Looks like Titans can still get in now, if both the Broncos and Raiders win.
When I said Cinn would get in if there is 2-way tie I was only referring to a tie between Cinn and Tenn.
Bones, The scenario that you just stated would still need the Jets to win for Tennessee to get in. Tennessee only will get in if they are involved in a 3-way tie for the 6th seed. If there is a 2 way tie - Cincinnati gets the 6th seed. If there is a 4-way tie, Oakland gets in.
Tennessee needs a lot of help to get in, but if you look at the way the games are scheduled, and what teams are playing for, it doesn't seem like that much of a stretch. Houston is playing for nothing outside of division bragging rights. They are the 3 seed. That is an early game. Tennessee if fighting for the wild card. If the Titans win, they just sit back and see what happens. Baltimore is still playing for the division and a bye, same as Pittsburgh, both of which play later games. Jets play Dolphins late, but it may not matter, because if Raiders or Broncos lose (has to be one or the other) in the unpredictable AFC West, and the Bengals lose to the Ravens, then Titans get the 6 seed. So, I would say Tennessee's odds are pretty good if they get the early win. Bengals are hard to peg this year though.
For Falcon Fans, I think this is the perfect scenario : a Falcon Win, A Green Bay Win, A Saints Win, A Rams Win, And A Cowboys win in week 17!! We need the Falcons to bounce back in a BIG way against Tampa, creating some momentum going into week one of the playoffs. A Green Bay win over Detroit gives the Falcons the 5th seed, and if the Cowboys beat the Giants, The Falcons travel to Dallas as opposed to all the way to the left coast for the first game. Dallas has an indoor stadium like the Ga. Dome, and The Falcons win a close one after the Cowboys use all their emotional energies defeating their hated rivals the G-men in the previous week, and another stupid clock management issue by Coach Garrett! . Jerry Cans Jason Garrett and the whole thing is blown up and started again, so very Dallas like of recent years!. Detroit travels cross country , pissed off, to meet a equally pissed off San Fran team on the coast. Two teams who have not been in the playoffs in quite some time, more so for Detriot and that will undo them! Much like Seattle and New Orleans last year, the best team will not win, so Detroit will be eliminated. After that, The Packers will see Atlanta come to town, and maybe, if the Falcons play the entire game the way they played the first half of thier earlier meeting meeting that saw Aaron Rodgers very frustrated, well who knows? Plus, the Falcons have not forgotten the last playoff meeting between these two that had Green Bay thouroughly embarass the Falcons! Pay backs are EPIC! The 49'ers, riding a wave of optimism after beating Detroit, head to the bayou with memories of San Fran merciless beatdowns of the Saints during the days of the old NFC West coming to mind for both teams. Then the NFC Championship could end up Being a re-match, with lots of vitriol between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints. The Saints pulled victory from the jaws of defeat in the first meeting in an overtime play callling debacle by the Falcons, wrong play and worse execution, and the 2nd game was an blowout as Brees and his teammates were fueled by the chase for Marino's record. I have a feeling, this time, on the pinnacle of returning to the Superbowl, by beating their hated rivals, the Falcons may prevail in an overtime stunner that will shift the balance of power between these two teams again, this time in the Falcons favor! SuperBowl, Who Knows at this point, but I think this could happen..will it? We will have to wait and see!
What people tend to forget is that the Packers deefense allows too many yards but is better than 21 of the 32 teams in points allowed. Packers lead the entire NFL in interceptions by a large margin too. At the end of the day it is not yards that win games it is POINTS (which Packers are #1 in scoring points in the NFL too). I believe I have made my case.....
Joshua...Its suppose to say if the Jets and Titans win and the Bengals AND Raiders lose then Tennessee is the #6 seed!
Joshua H, Tennessee must win and only one of those three teams has to lose. If all three win or if more than one loses, then TN is eliminated.
I have a question concerning the Titans shot at the playoffs. Here is a quote from the official Titans website: "Tennessee must beat Houston (10-5) and then have Cincinnati lose along with a combination of losses by either the Jets, Denver or Oakland to earn the AFC's sixth seed."
So I put the Jets, Denver and Oakland all as losses, then Cincinatti as a loss, and Tennessee beating Houston. But guess what, they are not shown as the AFC's sixth seed in this generator. In fact, they aren't in the playoffs at all. Has this generator known to be unreliable? It's entirely possible I'm missing something, so if someone can do what i did according to the quote that would be great.
That would suck for Titan fans rooting for those teams to lose and it happening, and thinking their team is in the playoffs when they're not.
