News and Notes
Nov 3 RB Beanie Wells continues to look explosive in the run game, but the club had trouble staying with the run after falling behind by 21 points to the Panthers last week. Yahoo! Sports

Nov 2 Wells had eight carries for 47 yards Sunday against Carolina, but failed to score for the sixth time in seven games as the Cardinals lost 34-21.

Advice: Tim Hightower has four touchdowns to Wells' one, but don't blame Wells' lack of carries in this game on his effort. Arizona trailed 28-7 early and essentially abandoned the run. He could bounce back next week at Chicago with better numbers.

STATS LLC

Nov 1 Wells rushed eight times for 47 yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.

Recommendation: Tim Hightower rushed eight times for 39 yards. Continuing a season-long trend, Hightower significantly outperformed Wells in the passing game (he made eight catches for 57 yards while Wells was held without a reception) and in short-yardage situations (he scored his fifth touchdown of the season on a one-yard plunge). Arizona was forced to throw the ball 46 times against only 17 runs because they trailed by multiple scores for most of the game.
