Advice: It's hard to tell what you're going to get week-to-week from the Saints' running backs, but Thomas remains the best threat to break a big play. Look for plenty of those the next three weeks against Carolina, Tampa Bay and St. Louis.

Recommendation: The real Pierre Thomas stood up on Monday night. While he did lose a fumble and finished with fewer carries than Mike Bell (17 to 14), Thomas showed power and explosiveness on nearly every run and both of his scores were showstoppers. His dive into the end zone off a 1-yard screen pass was impressive enough, but his stop-start-explode 22-yard run in the first quarter was about as good as it gets this side of Adrian Peterson. There is simply no good reason for Thomas not to get the bulk of the carries in the Saints' running game when healthy.
