News and Notes

Nov 17
QB Philip Rivers didn't make news by heaving the ball often way down field, but he was as accurate as ever in the win over the Eagles. He was 20-of-25 for 231 yards and two touchdowns. He had no turnovers. That's saying something against the Eagles' aggressive defense. |

Rivers was an impressive 20-for-25 for 231 yards and two touchdowns without an interception in Sunday's win over the Eagles. Recommendation: Rivers has been playing at a high level all year long, and on this day he benefited from a rejuvenated LaDanian Tomlinson, who was quite effective on the ground. Rivers made several big third-down throws in this game including two on a long drive in the fourth quarter that essentially put the game away for the Bolts. |

Rivers was 20 of 25 for 231 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions to help the Chargers beat Philadelphia 31-23 on Sunday. Advice: That makes 13 touchdowns and just three interceptions in the last six games for Rivers. He goes against Denver's fifth-ranked pass defense on Sunday, and the Broncos have been struggling lately against the run, but at this point you can feel confident playing Rivers in any matchup. |
