WR Kevin Walter, who had 60 catches for 899 yards (15-yard average) and eight touchdowns last season, got off to a slow start this season. He suffered a pull hamstring for the first time in his career and missed the first two games. By the time he returned to the lineup, quarterback Matt Schaub was spreading the ball among WR Andre Johnson, TE Owen Daniels and RB Steve Slaton. With Daniels gone for the season, Walter figures to get more passes. He enters the Indianapolis game with 22 catches for 261 yards and two touchdowns. |

Walter could see more looks going forward in the wake of Owen Daniels' season-ending injury, the Houston Chronicle reports. Recommendation: Daniels was a big part of the team's passing game, but his targets will have to be absorbed and while Joel Dreessen will be the team's new starter at tight end, it's Walter who has the skill-set and red zone ability to benefit the most from Daniels' absence. |
