Though Bryant is a few short weeks from becoming a free agent, the Buccaneers nor Bryant's representatives have had any contact, the St. Petersburg Times reports.
Recommendation: This doesn't necessarily mean the the team has made up their minds about Bryant. But it does suggest they fully intend to let him hit the market in early March before committing to anything long term. Bryant is seeking a multi-year deal with significant guarantees, but it's unclear how much the Buccaneers are willing to devote to him given the disappointing year Bryant had as their franchise-tag player in 2009. Bryant had only 39 catches for 600 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games played while making just under $10 million in 2009.
