Recommendation: This all sounds familiar. It is hard to imagine Reed walking away from the game when he doesn't have a Super Bowl ring and his team is a legitimate contender. His IDP value isn't what it once was, but Reed is still one of the best coverage safeties in the game. The Ravens may already be without Terrell Suggs for the year, and will not remain a consensus top-five team defense if they also lose Reed.
