Wait, could there seriously be a “Game of Thrones”/”Westworld” crossover episode?

If there’s one show we’re as obsessed with as Game of Thrones, it’s Westworld. After all, both offer a complex mythology for us to follow and well-rounded, believable characters. (Not to mention, they share a composer and a television channel.) But it seems they share their fans, as well. In fact, many fans of both shows have been asking for a Westworld/Game of Thrones crossover.

This isn’t as ridiculous as it sounds. In the original Westworld movie by Michael Crichton (the genius behind Jurassic Park), there was not only an android-filled Old West theme park, but also a Roman World and, yes, you guessed it, a Medieval World.

Apparently, Game of Thrones and Westworld fans aren’t the only ones who have pitched the idea of a “Westeros World,” where fan-favorites such as Ned Stark could “come back to life.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy revealed that Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin approached them about a crossover between the two HBO shows.

While Nolan and Joy are admittedly huge fans of Martin’s work, they have so far declined the idea of a crossover. As Lisa Joy explained:

“I need to believe that dragons are real. I want them to be a real thing. So as much as I love George, I can’t lose that for myself.”

Respect. That said, the duo haven’t ruled out the possibility of venturing into a Medieval World or Roman World. But before they do that, can we please, please solve the puzzle of Dolores and the Man in Black?
