Ratings: ‘Scandal’ Slips From 100th Episode Despite Thursday’s Shocking Death
CBS was the broadcaster thankful for Thursday this week.
ABC’s “Scandal” slipped from last week’s 100th episode, despite last night’s shocking death. To be fair to the Kerry Washington drama, it followed a rerun this time around. A week ago, “Scandal” had an original “Grey’s Anatomy” as lead-in.
CBS was first in ratings with a 0.9 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following reruns, “The Amazing Race” at 9 p.m. had a 0.9/4 and 4.4 million viewers. A second episode at 10 got a 0.8/3 and 3.8 million viewers.

NBC, ABC and Fox all tied for second in ratings, each with a 0.8/3. NBC was second in total viewers with 4.1 million, ABC was third with 3.8 million, Fox was fourth with 2.7 million.
For NBC, “Superstore” at 8 received a 0.9/4 and 3.2 million viewers. At 8:30, “Powerless” put up a 0.6/2 and 2.1 million viewers. “The Blacklist” at 9 landed a 0.9/3 and 4.8 million viewers. A second hour of the James Spader drama at 10 finished prime to a 0.8/3 and 3.8 million viewers.
For ABC, following a repeat, “Scandal” at 9 posted a 1.3/5 and 5 million viewers. “The Catch” at 10 managed a 0.6/2 and 3 million viewers.

For Fox, “MasterChef Junior” at 8 had a 1.0/4 and 3.5 million viewers. At 9, “Kicking & Screaming” got a 0.6/2 and 1.9 million viewers.
Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.7 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 622,000. After a rerun, e-sports gaming competition “H1Z1: Fight for the Crown” settled for a 0.2/1 and 394,000 viewers.
