To say that Fordham's season was a disappointment would be an understatement. The Rams, picked fourth in the A-10 preseason coaches' poll, barely slid into the A-10 tournament as the No. 12 seed and bowed out in embarrassment with an 80-62 first-round loss to St. Joseph's.
This year's collection of seniors, coach Dereck Whittenburg's first recruiting class, helped pick up a Fordham program that was a combined 8-48 in the two previous seasons before their arrival. In 2004-05, the Rams went 13-16 behind a team comprised of only five true freshman and four scholarship players, including A-10 Rookie of the Year Bryant Dunston.
