After just missing out on sharing the SEC's Western Division title the year before, Auburn hoped to contend again in the division and get its first postseason berth since the 2003 NCAA tournament. But things didn't quite work out that way for the Tigers in 2007-08. A couple of key injuries left coach Jeff Lebo doing some major shuffling with his lineup, moving a small forward (Quan Prowell) to the post and surrounding him with perimeter players. When they Tigers were hitting 3-pointers, they could be dangerous. The Tigers' January victory over Ole Miss, in which they were 10-of-19 on 3-pointers, probably ended up costing the Rebels a legitimate shot at an NCAA berth.
