NBA - Scoop Du Jour

A few different teams have been talking to the Houston Rockets about trading for veteran guard Brent Barry(notes), according to the Houston Chronicle.

The 37-year-old Barry only has one more year left on his current contract so he won't create any roster problems for teams interested in the glut of free agents that come available next summer.

The Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Oklahoma City Thunder are apparently the most interested in the 6'7" Barry. It's believed that the Rockets want to create some space on the roster before training camp opens on Oct. 28. After all, the team is expected to have 17 players on the roster by week's end since forward/center Pops Mensah-Bonsu(notes) will likely sign in the next few days.
