NBA - Scoop Du Jour

The Philadelphia 76ers have a coaching hole to fill and Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown will apparently get a call from the team to discus it, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Brown, who coached before in Philly and said earlier this season that he wasn't returning, will at least be contacted by the team, according to the paper's multiple sources. It's possible, though, that the team will ask Brown if he's interested in a front-office position rather than taking his standard place on the sidelines.

Whatever Brown says could spell doom for Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski, who has taken a lot of heat in Philly for putting together a team that couldn't make the playoffs and included a brief stint by the forgettable Allen Iverson(notes).
