Derek Fisher has a partially torn tendon in his right foot, an injury that typically requires six to eight weeks of rest, although the Los Angeles Lakers point guard will try to play through it according to the Los Angeles Times.
An MRI exam Friday confirmed that Fisher injured his peroneus longus tendon after pushing off the foot while changing direction in Wednesday's game against Charlotte.
"I feel good enough to see if I can help the team," Fisher said. "That's basically what the decision is going to be based on, is how I feel out there and whether I can really be effective enough to be a positive influence on helping us win games. If at any point I start to feel like I can't do that, then I'll make a decision at that point."

The rockets have a good recors against losing teams (besides Grizz) but lose a lot of games against the top.
Sometimes the Lakers lack focus (last 2 games) but they ususlly beat the better teams which helps in the playoffs, i think.

The Lakers just beat a couple of teams with great western records without Gasol. Now to lose a couple shows how they are hurting when their shot isn't falling. This is what happens to perimeter shooting teams. I'm glad we aren't this way when healthy/

The only ones who need to worry are the Mavs, Warriors, and Nuggets. One of the will be on the outside looking in.

time for Farmar to step up. I dont care how the Lakers finish in the standings as long as they remain in the top 6.
Most Nba teams would miss instantly the playoff if they had three 7 footers injured in the last 3 months of regular season. it just shows how much potential this team has. And if everybody but Bryant was 100%, that is including Gasol , I would still see them reaching the conference finals. no I havent smoked anything.
