Kurz turning down Cavs for Nuggets?

“RobFree agent forward Rob Kurz(notes) has an invite to the Cleveland Cavaliers training camp but is supposedly thinking that he'd rather head over to the Denver Nuggets instead, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

It's seemed that nobody has turned down the Cavs this off-season but the 6'9" former Fighting Irishman who had a 40 percent shooting percentage from three-point range during his rookie season last year with the Golden State Warriors could do just that.

That three-point ability is apparently what interests the Cavaliers since they want players who will be able to draw defensive pressure out to the three-point line and away from Shaquille O'Neal(notes) and LeBron James(notes) working closer to the basket.

It's looking like the Cavs will have to keep looking for another big man with such an ability.

Why don't the Cavs sign JOHN ISNER. He's 6'9" and can shoot long range. He has a good back hand and his serve speed is 140 mph. With this ability, he surely can execute a fast break to LeBron from the other side of the court. He even can play not just for 48 minutes but 4 hours. Alone and one-on-one. Go Cavs, sign ISNER.

Hilarious.....How does he have teams bidding against each other for his services. They should offer the minimum then do papaer roce scissors to decide who "gets" to offer it to him....he will accept it and the teams will save money......
Troy Murphy only Notre Dame notable playing right now.

    You Cavs fans underestimate Kurz.
I wish the Warriors had room to keep a good shooting, high BB IQ, player like Rob.
He is exactly tghe type of guy you need coming in off of the end of the bench.
Just for you cocky Cavs fans, I hope he does go to Denver., and you get stuck with your boy..........John Insner (???)

kurz might be turning down the cavs because they are not guaranteeing all of his contract... i dont blame them... the cavs are in a tight spot trying to win a championship... doesnt matter... they will sign someone else... or have someone fill that spot... remember... powe is coming back by allstar break.. and he will fill the backup pf spot. ferry is worried about filling every need by training camp.. they do need a big shooter... but it will be okay to wait for one.. i dont really think that its gonna hurt the cavs at first... they are gonna need a big shooter by playoffs...

@ dima7549....I looked at his stats for his last three games and was hoping the Cavs would sign him...eleven, nine, and twenty one points against playoff bound teams when he was playing only for pride....any team could use a guy like that
