G J.J. Barea had a career-high 12 assists against Toronto, which was a nice comeback from the two missed free throws at the end of regulation Wednesday at New Orleans. His previous career best was nine assists, set three times. |

Barea struggled for a second straight night, scoring six points on 3-10 shooting in Dallas’ loss to New Orleans. He also missed a pair of free-throws that would have iced the game for the Mavericks. Recommendation: Through five games this season Barea has slightly improved his points per game but has recently shot the ball poorly. He is still worth a look in deeper leagues but may see a slight decline in minutes after rookie Rodrigue Beaubois looked solid against the Hornets. |
