Parker says he expects to be out about a week after spraining his ankle in the second quarter of Friday's 96-84 loss to Portland, but tells the San Antonio Express-News that it's not as severe as other times he's suffered the same injury. Advice: Parker missed nine games early last season after spraining the same ankle, and missed a month with the French national team during the summer with a similar injury to his right ankle. |

G Tony Parker received some good news Friday night when an X-ray taken on the left ankle he sprained in the first half revealed no structural damage. Parker missed the entire second half, finishing with four points and an assist in 11:25 of action. The Spurs leading scorer (17.5 points a game) and top assist man (4.8) will be re-evaluated in San Antonio on Saturday. His status for Monday's home game is, at least for now, day-to-day. |

Parker led the Spurs with 24 points (10-for-16 FG, 4-for-4 FT), seven assists, three boards and two steals in only 27 minutes of a blowout victory Saturday night. Recommendation: This was a nice bounce-back for Parker, who had been held to only eight points in a loss to the Bulls in his last outing. |
