G Manu Ginobili missed his fourth consecutive game Wednesday against Golden State. The hope is he will be back either for Friday's game at Houston or Sunday at home against Philadelphia. Ginobili was averaging 14.1 points a game, his lowest scoring average since 2003-04, his second season in the league. He's shooting just 37.8 percent from the floor and 34.1 percent from the 3-point arc.
"Manu's out, he's out," coach Gregg Popovich said. "The schedule is when he's ready he'll play." |

Ginobili is said to be making progress on recovering from his strained left groin, but coach Gregg Popovich offered no firm timetable for his return. Advice: Ginobili, averaging 14.1 points, has not played since Nov. 18. quarter, then went to the locker room before the start of the second. The Spurs announced that Ginobili, who's averaging 14.1 points, was done for the night. Point guard Tony Parker is also doubtful for the game against Utah. |

Ginobili (groin) has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Jazz, according to the San Antonio Express-News. Recommendation: Manu will undergo further tests on this groin injury on Thursday, an injury that is reportedly unrelated to the hamstring troubles he'd recently been battling. Don't be surprised to see Ginobili miss a couple of games, especially given his injury history. |
