Nikola Jokic is continuing to climb the NBA's all-time totem pole. Jokic is the league's preeminent unsolvable puzzle, as there seems to be no defensive coverage in existence that has a chance in the world to slow down the Denver Nuggets star other than to hope that he misses. In fact, Jokic's greatness has gotten to the point where a comparison with one of the NBA's all-time greatest big men, Tim Duncan, doesn't seem absurd at all. According to former Nuggets head coach George Karl, Jokic has already “bypassed” the San Antonio Spurs legend in the fundamentals department.
Philadelphia has Joel Embiid ... and a whole lot of cap room.
It has been 30 years since San Antonio Spurs Hall of Famer David Robinson scored 71 points in the 1993-1994 season finale. Three decades later, the Spurs again feature a 7-footer who put up some astronomical numbers of his own. Perhaps it's because Duncan played more recently. Maybe it's because Duncan led the franchise to championships — an accomplishment many feel Wembanyama will inevitably reach.
