G Kobe Bryant made a 17-footer with 4.2 seconds left Sunday in Toronto that held up as the winning shot for the Lakers. Bryant explained that shot from the right baseline this way: "At the top of the floor, they would key on me and follow me to the basket. Once I noticed that space was open, it was just a matter of me trying to shake (DeMar) DeRozan to get to the spot."

Bryant, who began the game hitting only one of his first 11 shots, finished with 34 points (11-29 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 11-13 FT) in 42 minutes as the Lakers lost Friday at New York.
Recommendation: Bryant completed his third double-double of the season, though, by pulling down 10 rebounds. He also added an assist, versus three turnovers, and a steal to complete his night for the Lakers. In the month of February, Bryant's field goal percentage has dropped from 45.5 percent the first month-plus of the season to 38.1 percent. Meanwhile, as his wrist has healed, Bryant's three-point and free-throw percentages have improved in stride, though his scoring has yet to feel their influence.
