Nov 21 G Allen Iverson, who on Thursday became a free agent after he was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies, will not be signed by the Knicks. New York team president Donnie Walsh, who was initially not in favor of the idea, took time to consider it after coach Mike D'Antoni, desperate for a talent upgrade, endorsed the idea, but eventually they ruled out the idea. Nov 20 The New York Knicks have decided not to pursue Iverson. Team president Donnie Walsh says the team has decided not to make any additions despite its 2-9 record. He added the decision to pass on the former MVP had nothing to do with Iverson.

Advice: Iverson was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday and became a free agent Thursday night. Walsh said Friday he wasn't interested because Iverson would take time away from the young players the Knicks are trying to develop.

Nov 18 Charlotte head coach Larry Brown indicated that the Bobcats are not looking to sign Iverson, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Recommendation: Brown and Iverson are linked because of their history together in Philadelphia. While Brown feels Iverson still has some basketball left in him, he said it doesn't make sense for the guard-heavy Bobcats to sign him.
