Mets 2B Neil Walker left the Mets after Sunday's win to be in Pittsburgh for the birth of his first child. Walker's wife, Niki, is scheduled to be induced on Monday. Walker had been the team's hottest hitter, batting .449 with five HR in 12 games, before missing four games with a sore back. He returned to the lineup this past weekend and had two hits in nine plate appearances. Terry Collins said Walker is expected to rejoin the Mets on Friday.
