May 24 OF Seth Smith hit his fourth home run of the season Wednesday, Oakland's only run in the last two games. Smith is hitting .276 at home compared to .194 on the road. Yahoo! Sports


May 23 Smith was 0-for-4 in a 5-0 loss to the Angels on Tuesday night.

Recommendation: Smith has not been swinging a bad bat lately, he was riding a four-game hitting streak coming into the game. The Angels C.J. Wilson only allowed one hit against the A's on Tuesday, so Smith wasn't the only one hitless. That said, Smith's playing time could soon decline with Coco Crisp back from injury and Yoenis Cespedes potentially returning this weekend. Further, Manny Ramirez is eligible to return from suspension May 30 and will likely take over DH duties.
