DH Delmon Young "has been swinging the bat good the last three days," manager Jim Leyland said. Young had an RBI single to center Sunday and finished the series against Pittsburgh 5-for-11. "He's a run-producer," Leyland said. "That's why we wanted him last year."

Young hit a home run and a double, driving in three runs, in a win over the Pirates on Friday.
Advice: Young is 9 for 35 with four doubles and six RBIs the last nine games.

Young was 2-for-4 with a run scored, three RBI, and his second home run of the year as Detroit defeated Pittsburgh 6-0 Friday night.
Recommendation: Young has scuffled most of the season, and had some legal distractions earlier, so his fantasy owners hope he breaks out soon. Despite normally hitting just behind Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera, he is hitting just .235 and has only 13 RBI so far this year.
