DH/1B Adam Dunn is finally living up to the four-year, $56 million deal he signed with the White Sox before last season. He leads the team with 14 homers and 32 RBI. According to manager Robin Ventura, Dunn's dismal 2011 might have been the best learning lesson that the veteran hitter could have asked for. "I think you learn more through the tough times than through the easy times, because you don't think too much or dig too deep when things are going good because you don't have to," manager Robin Ventura said. "But when it's going bad, you have to find something to turn it around. For me, I learned more through my failures and struggles than I ever did when I did well. For him, we haven't even talked about it, but just seeing him, (the doubt) is not there." Last season, Dunn hit .159 with 177 strikeouts and had just 11 homers.

Dunn walked four times and hit a homer in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Cubs.
Advice: It was the first time in eight games Dunn didn't strike out.

Dunn hit his second home run in as many days Sunday, finishing 1-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts as the White Sox beat the Cubs to complete the three-game sweep.
Recommendation: With his 14th bomb of the season, Dunn is tied for second in home runs behind Josh Hamilton, this despite also being second in strikeout percentage at 33.9 percent. While his all-or-nothing attitude at the plate is more balanced in his second season with the White Sox, be wary of a slump from the 32-year-old.
